Upcoming Events in Iola Kansas

Monthly

Kansas Oldtime Fiddlers, Pickers, and Singers - To promote, encourage, and work to preserve old-time music and its related skills. Third Sunday each month 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm

This is intended to be accomplished by regular monthly programs of the chapters where members can exhibit their skills by their performance and instruction to other musicians and the general public. In this way they pass on the oldtime music as it has been passed down to them. At the same time this provides entertainment for the non-performing members and the audience who appreciates and judges these skills. The KOFP&S organiztion is composed of seventeen chapters located at points over the state of Kansas. Each chapter has a monthly meeting and program on one Saturday or Sunday of each month.
