11 Annual Take A Kid Fishing Event - Event to educate children on fishing. They will learn how to cast, tie knots, etc. There will also be a cake walk, hotdog sale and goodie bags given to the children. Event is from 9 am - 12 pm at Wal-Mart.

16 - 19 Heritage Days & Mattfeldt Carnival - Fun-filled day for the whole family at the K-Mart parking lot; games, arts & craft vendors, food vendors, and live bands. Pre-sale carnival tickets available in May through the Recreation Dept & Chamber.

Annual Archaeology Day - Special activities and demonstrations at the Park's Visitor Center from 10 am - 3 pm. Guided tours of the archaeological sites at 8 am, 10 am and 1 pm.

4 Fourth of July Celebration - Children's Parade begins at 10 am at the city park followed by an old fashoin carnival activities and a youth talent show. A Flag Retirement Ceremony that will be a moving ceremony that honors the service of worn flags of our nation, right before dusk. Fireworks will light up the sky starting at dark.

20 Suvoyuki Day - A "Joint Effort" of the Hopi people, Arizona State Parks, and the Homolovi Chapter of the Arizona Archaeological Society, this open house will celebrate all the partners who have helped to protect and save Homolovi from destruction. On Saturday, activities take place at Homolovi. On Sunday, the activities are on the Hopi Mesas with a morning run (2 or 5 mile) at sunrise. Throughout the day, there will be Hopi artist demonstrations, traditional food demonstrations, and lectures from Hopi people and archaeologists interpreting the site.

16 Annual Christmas Parade - Come enjoy Winslow's old fashion Christmas parade! Check out the food and craft booths which are set up along the parade route. Children can visit with Santa at the Famous "Standin' On The Corner Park" for a few hours before the parade! Parade kicks off at 1 pm. Sponsored by the Winslow Chamber of Commerce.
