5 Tryon Riding & Hunt Club Blockhouse Steeplechase - Tryon Riding & Hunt Club's running of the Blockhouse Steeplechase. The race is on for the best hat, tailgate picnic and of course what horse will win the Chase.

From I-26, east or west:

Take S.C. Exit #1 from I-26, toward Landrum, S.C. Go 1.5 miles, then turn right onto Bomar Road (look for the Land Mart on the corner). Go one short block and turn right onto Prince Road. After 1.7 miles, turn left onto Hunting Country Road, just before the I-26 bridge. Go .6 mile to the FENCE entrance on the right.

6 Green Creek Heritage Festival - Old timey fun with old timey things. From farm tools and tractors to antique cars and trucks. Learn to milk a cow or just watch the fun. Music, food and entertainment. Always the Saturday after Labor Day. 9am - 3pm.

On Thursday there will be 'The Edge of Polk Cross-Country 5k' and 'Poor Man's Supper from 5:30-8:30pm with registration beginning at 6:30 for race. These two events are all fund-raisers for the Green Creek Community Center.

1NC0217005e064 - Tryon Tryon Beer Fest - Tap Into Tryon - An array of craft beers will be available at the Beer Fest along with an oyster roast, authentic German food and other treats. Non-alcoholic beverages and water will also be available. Live Bavarian music will be played during the day then we’ll rock out with a live band later in the afternoon! We don’t use sampling tickets, so admission gets you unlimited beer and wine samples!

Rain or shine, come join us in the sun or under the tents complete with heaters if needed! You’re guaranteed a uniquely fun time as you Tap Into Tryon! Usually held the first part of November from 1-6pm.
