4 Car, Bike, Truck, & Tractor Show - Disabled American Veterans chapter 33 is hosting a Car, Bike, Truck, & Tractor show complete with MANY Arts & Craft vendors, so come one, come all!! This year's will be the biggest ever!!!!!

A pancake breakfast will be from 7am to 11am. If you are proud of yours, bring it! If you have something to sell call, spaces should still be available!

25 Spirit Sprint Triathlon - The inaugural Spirit Sprint Triathlon held in conjunction with the American Spirit Festival will kickoff our Independence Day celebration! The race will feature a 500-meter (10-lap) pool swim, a fast 15-mile out-and-back bike course on quiet country roads, and finish with a flat 5k run around the city reservoir. Our race will finish at the Hoyt Shadid Park where there will be fun and festivities for the entire family, culminating in an evening fireworks display.

15 - 17 Great Plains Stampede PRCA Rodeo - Hundreds of cowboys and cowgirls come to Altus from across the Southwest for Bull Riding, Barrel racing, Modern saddle bronc riding, Bareback bronc riding, Team roping, Tie-down roping, Steer wrestling, Miniature Bull Riding, and all the rodeo trimmings. 28 Cotton Pickin' Chili Cookoff - Festivities begin at 10 am. There has been attendance of over 2500 people the day of the event with over 50 BBQ, Chili & Salsa entries to taste!!! Cash Prizes & Trophy’s for First, Second & Third in each category.
Spectators can enjoy tasting chili beginning at 10:30 am. Tasting Kits $3.00.
Kevin Law and his border collies will perform at 11 am & again at 1:15 pm.
Entertainment on stage 11:15 am; Wichita Mountain Bluegrass Band Entertainment on stage 11:45 am, Read Southall Awards on stage at 1:30 pm.

Vendors welcomed by reservation only and will be open at 10 am. Farming Displays will be open at 10 am. Judging begins 10 am.
