13 Comedy Night - Holton VFW Post 1367 will host a Comedy Show featuring David Nickerson, Evan Culp & Grasshopper. 26 - 27 County Wide Garage Sales - The Chamber of Commerce sponsors two county wide garage sales per year, in the spring and fall. In addition to traditional residential garage sales we have also made space available for rural residents, vendors or dealers to rent on the fairgrounds. This locations gives great access to the many visitors coming to town for the sales, but also great visibility to catch the attention of traffic on 16 & 75 highways.

Deadline to be included on the map is 5:00 Monday prior. The map will be compiled listing all registered sales and highlighting the items they have to offer. A list of locations where the maps can be purchased will be listed here as the weekend gets closer. Maps will not be available until Thursday afternoon.

29 July Jubilee - July Jubilee is the biggest community event of the year! It brings in thousands of people to Jackson County to enjoy music and entertainment, military tribute, inflatables and FIREWORKS! at Banner Creek Reservoir.

14 - 21 Barn Tour - Annual Barn Tour. This year's guided school bus tour will be around the scenic Banner Creek Reservoir area. Tour includes stops at barns, entertainment and surprises. Lunch at Your Place or Mine Restaurant: pulled pork sandwiches with all the trimmings. Same tour will also be held on October 4. Reservations are required.

2 - 23 Christmas at the Roebke House - Tour the downstairs and upstairs of this Victorian home weekends during November. These local businesses will decorate the downstairs rooms and showcase their wares: All Around Sweets, expressions Flowers & Gifts, Bar S Tack & Western Wear, Koger Variety, and Lee's Flower & Gift Shop. Jackson County Historical Society volunteers will exhibit the Roebke family history in the upper story, including Victorian clothing, a children's room, quilts and dolls.
