13 Harriet Beecher Stowe House - Ohio Historical Society - The Harriet Beecher Stowe House was built by Lane Seminary in 1833 to serve as the residence of that institution's president. Harriet Beecher Stowe moved to Cincinnati in 1832 with her father, Dr. Lyman Beecher, who had been appointed president of the seminary. During Harriet's stay in Cincinnati (she left in 1850), much of her life was spent in or near this house. In Cincinnati she learned about the evils of slavery which inspired her book, UNCLE TOM'S CABIN. Stowe House is operated as a cultural and educational center which promotes black history.

6 - 8 Paddlefest - Celebrate, promote and protect the beauty of the Ohio River at the Annual Ohio River Way Paddlefest at Coney Island in Cincinnati! Enjoy two days of paddling, education, entertainment, competition and camaraderie.

The Kids Ex-Stream Expo starts the Friday River and Music Festival. Kids Ex-Stream Expo has become the largest children's outdoor river education and recreation program in the area. Over 500 children primarily from inner city recreation camps get the opportunity to learn about the Ohio River and the outdoors in a unique and fun program. They get to see up close the fish from the Ohio River, learn about on water safety in a canoe, kayak or raft, experience some of the animals of Ohio, learn to fish and flycast and most of all have fun!

The festival continues with food and drink, 4-5 live bands all night, boating and safety demos, vendors and exhibits. Saturday morning over 1400 paddlers in canoes, kayaks, and large "war" canoes, put in the Ohio River and float downstream to the Public Landing of downtown Cincinnati culminating in the Finish Line Festival. There are amateur and pro races with medals available and cash prizes for the pro racers. Special events include "rolling" on the river with experienced paddlers rolling their kayaks over and over in competitions.

With your help and the support of our many generous corporate, small business and non-profit sponsors, the Ohio River Way will continue to sponsor events and raise funds to promote the Ohio Water Trail and help paddlers and power boaters alike, experience the natural beauty and recreational benefits of the Ohio and its unique network of tributaries.

8 School's Out Junior Ghost Hunt! - Do you have a child that is interested in the paranormal? This event is for them. This is a program aimed at children 17 and younger who want to learn about ghost hunting.

We will meet at William Henry Harrison's tomb in North Bend, OH at 1 pm on June 27th. We will have a short explanation on how to use the equipment and then move across the street to Congress Green Cemetery for a ghost hunt. Your children will be able to use our equipment and are encouraged to bring equipment of their own to try. The program will run until 3pm. All children must have a parent or guardian present.

This program is free, but reservations are required. This program is limited to 20 children.

a Palace for the Fans! With the formation of the Cincinnati Red Stockings of 1869, professional baseball and America's passion for the sport were born, and grew, right here in Cincinnati. Now, for the first time, the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum offers fans of the Reds, and of baseball, the first comprehensive look into the sport's heralded past.



Nowhere else are fans able to see as complete a collection of artifacts from the first professional baseball team and its rich history in the major leagues. And nowhere outside of the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y., are baseball fans treated to such an amazing visual history of the World Series and Opening Day.



The Reds Hall of Fame, which opened to the public Sept. 25, 2004, is located at Great American Ball Park, the home of the Cincinnati Reds, along Cincinnati's riverfront. The facility features more than 16,000 square feet of exhibit space on two floors.



The year-round attraction highlights the Big Red Machine and other World Series winners, interactive games and exhibits, multimedia presentations and more.

24 - 25 Annual Vinoklet Art Festival & Wine Tasting - The Annual Vinoklet Art Festival and Wine Tasting is two days of unique fine art and fine crafts, live entertainment, and award-winning wines! The festival even has grape-stomping contests on Saturday! Vinoklet Winery is the only working winery in Hamilton County, and each year it hosts an art and wine festival to celebrate the last grape crushing of the season.
