5 - 7 Gila County Gem & Mineral Show - The three-day Gila County Gem & Mineral Show is held at the Gila County Fairgrounds, three miles north of the junction of highways 60 and 70 near Globe. The popular gem show features loose stones as well as finished jewelry, lapidary equipment, books and tools, minerals, and slabs. Artisans will be on hand to demonstrate gold and silver casting, silver smithing, chain making, fire agate polishing, twist wire craft, and channel and custom jewelry making. Fr/Sa 9 am - 5 pm, Su 9 am - 4 pm.

24 - 25 Historic Home & Building Tour, Antique and Quilt Show - Globe is home to some of the state's most historic homes and buildings, including some that date back to the early 1900s. The tour also includes a stop at the Pieces of Friendship Quilt Show, and the annual antique show and sale. Pancake Breakfast, Chili Lunch, Sweetheart Dance, and Entertainment. Transportation is provided for the tour which begins at 9 am both days from Globe City Hall. 9 am - 3 pm.

3 - 4 Cinco de Mayo Festival - Come join us in historic Globe, Arizona for 2 days of great food, music, and fun. Our event will be headlined by Tex-Mex-Fest Grammy Award winning musical acts each evening,

Starting on Friday we will have a battle of the Mariachi Bands with the winner being given the privilege to open for Little Joe y La Familia Saturday night. There will be 6-7 bands battling throughout the day until a winner is crowned. Then rhythm and blues infused band Tierra will take the stage for a live performance.

Saturday will begin with the La Reina De Las Flores Competition, Ballet Fol Klorico will take place multiple times throughout the day. The winners of the La Reina De Los Flores will be crowned and we will bring back the winning mariachi band from Friday to play. Finally, our event will be closed with a performance by the wildly acclaimed and popular Little Joe y La Familia.

During both days there will be entertainment and games for children, vendors selling wares, plenty of traditional Mexican food, and lots of cold drinks.

This is going to be a family friendly event and children under the age of 12 will be allowed free of charge to enjoy the event with parents and guardians.

18 - 21AZ0204005e010 - Globe Gila County Fair - A cookout, rodeo, arts and crafts, school exhibitions, live musical entertainment, games and more! The fun starts on Thursday at noon with a carnival, games and food, as well as 4-H livestock judging and a salsa contest at the Gila County Fairgrounds, three miles north of Globe on Highway 60. On Friday, the evening begins with the annual All American Beef Cookout where awards are given for first and second place in the ground beef category and the "all other cuts" category. More livestock judging and live entertainment follow the beef contest.

Competition continues on Saturday at 9 am with the annual Gila County Ranch Rodeo featuring five-member teams with at least one female participant from regional ranches. Buckles are awarded to winners. Saturday evening brings more live entertainment.

As part of the activities on Sunday, the 4-H Leaders Council provides a barbecue lunch at noon followed by the 4-H Livestock Auction at 1 pm. In addition to these scheduled events, competition will continue all weekend long in a variety of areas including agriculture, horticulture, floriculture, homemaking arts, domestic science, ceramics and porcelains, fine arts, photography, and school exhibitions.

Other fair activities include a carnival, food booths, karaoke stage, fresh flower arrangement displays, hand-made arts and crafts, and commercial vendors. In addition, grandstand musical entertainment is on hand throughout the festivities.

12 Annual Apache Jii Celebration - The celebration takes place in Globe on historic downtown Broad Street from 9 am to 5 pm. Artisans and some of the state's best Native American performers will be here to honor members of the San Carlos Apache Tribe. Native American singing, dancing, and storytelling representing the rich heritage of the Apache Tribe are featured. Scheduled appearances include drummers, buffalo dancers, flutist, hoop dancers, and the famous Apache Crown Dancers. Visitors are encouraged to bring cameras and camcorders to capture the drama of this and other performances. In addition to live entertainment, more than 100 booths with Native American art, jewelry, clothing, dolls, pottery, and more are enjoyed. Native American artisans demonstrate their skills in basket weaving, cradle board making, drawing, and painting.

A variety of crafts will be on display and for sale, and a food court features traditional Native American cuisine such as fry bread, Indian tacos, and Apache acorn stew.

27 Fall Festival & Ghosts of Globe Tour - This tour is held annually on Halloween night, on special occasions or in conjunction with other events (i.e. Home Tour). The guided walking tour begins at the Old Gila County Jail. Tours leave in increments of 20 to 30 minutes. Tour participants are told ghost stories, legends, and interesting pieces of history pertaining to buildings in the historic downtown area. The tour takes 45 minutes to an hour.

Tour participants should wear comfortable shoes and dress according to the elements. Advance tickets may be purchased at the Chamber office, or may be purchased at the door.

1 Festival of Lights - Besh-ba-Gowah Archeological Park, a Salado Indian ruin in Globe, Arizona, celebrates the holiday with 1,400 luminarias illuminating the walls of this Salado restoration on the Sunday evening prior to Christmas weekend. Each year a different holiday program is featured. There will be holiday decorations, Native American storytellers and dancers, and Santa Claus for the little ones. Light refreshments are served. Open to the public from 5 pm to 9 pm on the Sunday before Christmas.
