Dogwood Festival
- The Dogwood Festival is held the last full weekend in April when the Dogwood is in full bloom. The festival features live entertainment, such as bluegrass, country and rock music. You will find artisans featuring their products, the Dogwood Quilters will be working on their quilts, apple butter making and much more. Contest for the kids, pie eating contests, a chili cook off and more. There is a horse trail ride, a cyclist tour, and more. The Grande Parade starts at 4:00 pm on Sunday. The Cyclist Dogwood Tour
- Fifty miles of paved road, beautiful scenery. The ride begins along the Scioto River and follows a creek valley gradually into the hills and into a little town called Nipgen, known as "Possum Trot" by early settlers, and where a chicken noodle lunch and other menu items may be purchased at the Nipgen United Methodist Church. - Benton Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. will be sponsoring a car show on Sunday July 15, 2012 from 9am-4pm at 13192 State Route 124, Piketon, OH 45661 (Directly across from Williams Corner Market). Registration begins at 9am, trophy presentation at 4pm, $10 registration fee, 1st 50 dash plaques, top 100 trophies, top 5 motorcycles, Fire Chief's Choice, Longest Distance.
