25 - 26 Pawnee Panorama - Annual celebration of the Pioneer spirit featuring an old-fashioned community band concert and community picnic on Friday night, and weekend events including a bank robbery and shoot-out, millionaire contest, flea market, parade, Nebraska sanctioned soap box derby, Pioneer demonstrations, fly-in breakfast, golf tournament, concerts, barbecues, ice cream socials, an avenue of flags display and a fireworks finale.

View displays of World War II memorabilia, including uniforms, guns, books, magazines, and diaries. Other 1940’s memorabilia will be available for viewing.

Memorial Service for veterans at 10:30am

Homestead Dulcimer Club at 10:30am & 12:30pm

Charlotte Endorf ( Nebraska Humanities Council)l presents “Nebraska Spirit: The North Platte Canteen” at 2:00 p.m.

Other activities include: Demonstrations of loom, threshing, water witching, rug making, butter making, blacksmith, rope making, treadle sewing machine, quilting, quilling, and library book check out. WWII music performed, and memories recorded.

Purchase books by local authors, bake sale items, raffle tickets, and Historical Society items.

Admission: $6.00 Adult; $4:00 under age 12; under age 3 free; WWII veterans free.
