5 Stearns Homestead Opening Days - Stearns Homestead, Parma's historic farm, opens for the season on Sunday. The 48-acre farm, in the center of Ohio's eighth largest city, is owned by the City of Parma and operated by the Parma Area Historical Society. The historic farm includes the Stearns House Museum (1855), the Gibbs House museum (1921), a Country Store gift shop, farm animals, and barn. Special exhibits in Gibbs House (1920) and in the Stearns House Museum (1855). Pony rides, plant sale by PAHS and more. Family fun! Stearns Homestead will be open each Saturday & Sunday from mid-May to mid-October 1:00-4:00 p.m.

4 Stearns Homestead Antiques & Collectibles Market - Select dealers will be offering affordable goods on the grounds and in the cabin of Stearns Homestead, Parma's Historical Farm. This is the twelfth year for this annual Antiques & Collectible Market. There are tours of two museums -- the Gibbs House (circa 1920) and the Stearns House (circa 1855). Refreshments available. Farm animals, a barn, and a country store add to the country setting -- a 48.3-acre farm in Parma, one of Ohio's largest cities. 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the educational and historical programs at Stearns Farm. 13 Ukrainian Village Festival - The Ukrainian Village Festival at St. Vladimir Cathedral will feature Ukrainian Foods including Perogies, Stuffed Cabbage, and Borscht. There will be Ukrainian entertainment,including dancers. Tours of the Cathedral are scheduled during the afternoon. Viewing displays and demonstrations of Ukrainian Art and Crafts can be enjoyed and there will be music. 12 noon to 11:00pm.

27 - 28 Stearns Farm Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social - Join us for a scoop or two of good old fashioned American fun. This Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Social is held on the grounds of Stearns Homestead.

Stearns farm is a 48-acre site owned by the City of Parma and operated by the Parma Area Historical Society as an educational and historic farm. The Stearns House (1855) and the Gibbs House (1920) are operated as museums with furnishings appropriate to the era. A Country Store, meeting cabin, gardens, farm animals and their shelters offer a memorable visit to Parma's past. Stearns Homestead was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981, and an Ohio Historical Marker was erected in 2001, identifying Stearns Homestead as a historic farm.

Stearns farm is open each Saturday & Sunday 1-4p.m. from May 19 to mid-October.

Special events are scheduled and tours may be arranged. Admission free. Donations welcome.

31 - 1 Farm/City - Family Days - Parma Area Historical Society's annual Farm/City Famly Days sponsored by Cuyahoga County Farm Bureau and Parma Area Historical Society. An event filled with fun and educational experiences for children of all ages. Held on the grounds and in the cabin of Stearns Homestead,Parma's Historic 48-acre farm. Activities include pony rides, games, stories, crafts, museum tours and feeding the farm animals.

Stearns Homestead is owned by the City of Parma and operated by the Parma Area Historical Society.

The site was placed on the National Register of Historical Places in 1981, and the Ohio Historical Marker was erected in 2001.

Stearns Homesead is open each Saturday & Sunday 1:00-4:00 pm until mid-October.

28 - 29 Stearns Homestead Fall Festival - Celebrate the harvest at Stearns Homestead's Fall Festival.  The two-day event sponsored by the Parma Area Historical Society features apple fritters and pies, Ohio apples, Ohio apple cider, & pumpkins. Stearns herbs and vinegars, souvenirs and gifts available at the Country Store.

Pony rides, entertainment, and refreshments will be offered each day. Tours of the Gibbs House (1920) and the Stearns House (1855) are scheduled each day. Farm animals will be waiting to be fed.

Stearns Farm is owned by the City of Parma and operated by the Parma Area Historical Society. The site was placed on the National Register in 1981 and an Ohio Historic Marker was dedicated in 2001.  Proceeds from events are used to maintain Stearns Homestead as an educational and historic farm.

6OH0402052e009 - Parma Avant-Garde Fall Art & Craft Show - Featuring North East Ohio's local talent.. This year's show will feature a variety of handmade art and craft items from some of the area's most talented vendors. Over 65 vendors! A wide variety of unique and one-of-a-kind items will be available for purchase. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the North East Ohio Make-a-Wish Foundation. Free admission to the public. The show is still currently still accepting vendors. Vendor fee is $40 and includes: one 6 ft. or 8 ft. table with two chairs. All vendors are on a first-come-first-serve basis upon approval.
