10 KC Mavericks, Racing Appreciation Day! - It is our Annual Racing Appreciation Day located at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence, Missouri. We are having a Car Show display of all Classic Cars, Sports Cars, and bikes etc. from Noon-3 p.m. Then, our hockey team faces off vs the Quad City Mallards at 4:05 p.m. We hope to have a great turnout kicking off the racing season and seeing the Mavs win!

29 Bingham-Waggoner Antique & Craft Fair - Antiques, crafts, food, and music from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Estate will host more than 125 antique dealers and crafters on the grounds, with outstanding collectibles available for purchase. 2 Holiday Open House and Lighting of Independence Square Courthouse - The festivities will begin with the arrival of jolly old St. Nick himself in a horse drawn sleigh. The rest of the day will include school choirs, a performance by the Missouri Town Village Dancers and visits with Santa. The shops of the Square have decorated their windows for the Holidays and will add to the celebration by opening their doors for the annual Holiday Open House. The shops will have special treats and displays to add to the festive air. The culmination of the day will be the lighting of the tree (and Square!) at 5:57pm followed by a reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.
