5 - 7 17th Annual Battle of Plymouth Living History Weekend - Come watch as history comes alive! The 17th Annual Battle of Plymouth Living History Weekend will take place in Historic Plymouth to commemorate one of the largest battles fought during the Civil War in North Carolina. Hundreds of reenactors will set up encampment sites along the banks of the Roanoke River. There will be period music, crafts and re-enactments of the battles. Over 300 re-enactors participate with dozens of authentic artillery pieces. See website for more details!

12 - 13 3rd Annual North Carolina Forest Festival - Event Description: The only event in the state that celebrates forestry, the N.C. Forest Festival is a day of fun filled with exhibits, equipment, competitions, and live music. Stroll the festival grounds accompanied by live bluegrass music, taking in the educational exhibits or check out the newest equipment in the industry. From the Lumberjack Competition, as seen on ESPN, to the Fireman?s and Forest Service Parade to the Sidewalk Wildlife Art Show and Sale, there is something for everyone, including kids. Don?t miss this unique event!
