17 - 27 National Pony Express Reride Across Nebraska - Riders will gallop across the state carrying personal mail and commemorative letters. Watch the riders exchange the mochila on the 96 Ranch, 2 mi S. of I-80 Exit 211, then 1 1/2 mi E.

The Pony Express began operation on April 3, 1860. The National Pony Express Association conducts a Re-Ride of the Pony Express every year, carrying mail in a mochila across the 8 states that now comprise the National Pony Express Historic Trail. This Re-Ride is undertaken in 10 days and runs 24/7, just like in 1860.
