- Street dance, barrel racing, gymkhana, pancake breakfast, parade, Chautauqua presentations. Party celebrates Reuel Gridley's efforts to raise money for the Sanitary Commission, the forerunner of the American Red Cross, in 1864. Come & join us for this years Gridley Days Events to include: Friday: Heritage Night with Sourdough Slim - www.sourdoughslim.com Saturday: 10AM Parade with $1000.00 in cash prizes 1PM Wild West Fun Day @ Austin Rodeo Grounds Poker Walk to Historic Buildings, Pig Roast @ Bert T Gandolfo Park Sunday: 8:30am Cowboy church service  @Rodeo Grounds Followed by the second race in a six race series called the "Highway 50 Saddle Series" For for information on this event. http://www.aw4d.com/php/specialraceads.php lizwilli262@sbcglobal.net The barrel race is sanctioned by the American West the series is a combined effort between the Austin Roping Club, Smokey Valley Barrel Racing Association and Eureka Barrel Racing.
