16 - 17 National Robotics Challenge - Students come from various states to compete in the competition.  In one of the challenges, students design a miniature assembly line, where they create and build a product.  There are many other challenges and an awards ceremony the final night.  The contests are offered to middle schools, high schools, vocational schools, community colleges and universities from the United States.

18 "Art from the Heart" Gallery Show and Opening Reception March 1st - Barlow Art Center Art announces “Art From The Heart” which will start the newest exhibit at the art gallery. The opening reception will be Sunday March 1st from 2-4 at the Barlow Art Center 1126 E. Center St. in Marion and will include beverages and light refreshments. Guests will have the opportunity to get the first look at the new exhibit and speak to the artists about their inspiration.

This show celebrates women and the art they love to create. It will feature artwork of both emerging and established Marion women artists including Betty Newcomer, Lannette Davis, Brenda Brewer, Annette Temple Montis, Joyce Wilson, Ellen Hines, Patty Sharp, Lora Workman and Amy Medley. The exhibit will also include photographs by Jamie Hawkins and Colleen Gilpin.

24 - 26 Marion Palace Theatre - The historic Palace Theatre located in downtown Marion was built in 1928 by renowned theatre architect John Eberson. One of 200 theatres built, it is now one of only 18 remaining. Through the years, the structure fell into disrepair. However, in 1976, a group of concerned citizens banded together to form the Palace Guard and rally community support to save the failing theatre. Since that time, the Palace Theatre has continued on an upward spiral to become a very vital link in the revitalization of Marion's downtown district. Each year, the Palace presents a wide variety of live performances with widespread appeal and "something for everyone." Located just a short drive north from Columbus, the Marion Palace Theatre is a historic treasure in which you will want to experience the arts! 15 Marion Union Station Chicken B-B-Q - The B-B-Q is a fund raiser to help restore the railroad station. This is an annual event that is held for train buffs and anyone interested in railroads. 22 Boy Scout Pilgrimage and Army Wreath Laying at the Harding Memorial -

Commemorate the birth of President Harding with the annual Scout Pilgrimage to the Presidential tomb.  Over 500 scouts gather each year to pay homage to the President and First Lady for their support of scouting.  This event also includes the U.S. Army?s annual Wreath Laying Ceremony on behalf of the White House.  Featured speakers will include scouts and an Army Brigadier General who will represent the President of the United States.  Parade begins ? hour before event.  Free Admission and the public is invited to attend.
