17 The Big Feed - Have you ever seen a giraffe's tongue up close or wondered how the Zoo encourages the animals to remain active and stimulated in their enclosure? Here is your opportunity! Throughout the day visitors will see many of their favorite animals, from sharks to cheetahs to the Komodo dragon, devour thier dinners while interpreters describe what's going on. Visitors will also learn about enrichment - activities that create a more stimulating enviroment and encourage species-typical and appropriate behaviors - and have an opportunity to make enrichment items for Zoo animals or their own pet.

16 Chainsaw Creek Haunted Attraction - A legendary ghost town has arisen from the long buried and forgotten mire of the Black Swamp. This October a supernatural town with a sinister past has arisen to tell us a story of dread. 3 - 4 Little Boo at the Zoo - "Little Boo" is the perfect Halloween party for pre-schoolers who may be too young to enjoy Pumpkin Path.  Themed trick-or-treat stations, animal demonstrations (weather permitting) and the Fisher Price play area!  Costumes are encouraged!

The event takes place 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Main Plaza & Broadway Pavilion.  There is an additional fee to participate in the "Little Boo" activities.

17 - 15 Lights Before Christmas - During the holiday season, the Toledo Zoo is transformed into a winter wonderland. The "Lights Before Christmas" holiday event features over ONE MILLION lights, over 200 images of your favorite animals, ice-carving demonstrations on Thursday evenings, carolers, holiday treats, and visits with Santa in the Indoor Theatre. Also be sure to check out our 80-foot Norway Spruce located behind the Conservatory. Adorned with over 32,000 lights, this spruce boasts more lights than the famous Christmas tree in New York City's Rockefeller Center! You can also find unique gifts and souvenirs in the North Star Trading Post gift shop. Don't miss out on this family tradition!

Back by popular demand! The dynamic "Dancing Lights" show, utilizing state-of-the-art LED wide-angle mini lights, synchronized to classic holiday tunes. The show, which will be repeated throughout the evening for visitors? convenience, is located in a large grove of trees near Cheetah Valley.

Techniques included range from borosilicates to dichroic and iridescent glass. The production of intense color effects and advanced processes create new glass forms like nothing you have seen before. GlassWear will be on view in Galleries 2 & 3 in the Glass Pavilion.

22 - 24 Heralding the Holidays - The 19 Resident Organizations at Toledo Botanical Garden have joined together to present the popular annual winter festival, Heralding the Holidays. The event is completely free and open to the public.

Friday night features beautiful luminaria bathing the gardens in candlelight. All weekend long visitors will enjoy festive entertainment, children's activities, an ice carver, Santa Clause, refreshments and more. Heralding the Holidays offers a unique and beautiful environment for holiday shopping as each of the participating organizations will have wonderful arts, crafts and other gifts available for purchase!
