1 - 4 Annual Sauder Village Quilt Show - Celebrate the rich tradition of quilting at Sauder Village's annual event! With hundreds of quilts on full-length display, this event showcases a traditional craft that has become a form of art worldwide. The kaleidoscope of color and creativity will inspire and astound you. The National Association of Certified Quilt Judges (NACQJ) juries this annual show. Ribbon winning categories range from pieced, applique, mixed media, and art/innovation. Quilting demonstrations, hands-on activities and plenty of shopping opportunities at Threads of Tradition Quilt Shop add to the events of this fun-filled show. 18 Antique Car Gathering at Sauder Village - What better setting for an antique car display than Ohio's largest living-history Village! Cars on display will be older than 1942 with some dating back to the early 1900s! Guests will have a chance to meet with car owners and watch a car parade late in the afternoon! 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

24 - 25 Broken Barrel Speakeasy Experience at Sauder Village - The Broken Barrel Speakeasy is unleashing some secret speakeasy mayhem with an immersive experience and taste of the underworld of Prohibition! Prepare to be introduced to the history, the gangs & the consequences of Prohibition at our spectacular 1920s Main Street venue.

Be one of 12 guests on an intimate journey back in time to the roaring 20s and experience The Broken Barrel Speakeasy, an authentic secret hidden room here at Sauder Village on the 1920s Main Street. The history of Prohibition and its consequential impact on Northwest Ohio and the rest of our country from 1920 to 1933 will be shared while guests imbibe on a Prohibition cocktail and savor the different taste profiles of 4 Prohibition bourbons.

Pre-registration is required. Must be 21 years and older and show valid ID.

8 Tractors at Sauder Village - Get an up-close look at the machines that make farming possible! Historic tractors from the 1920s to the 1960s will be on display in the Historic Village. There will be International Harvesters, Farmalls, Silver Kings, Molines, John Deere tractors, and more! 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.

6 Summer on the Farm at Sauder Village - The smell of fried chicken and homemade pie; the sight of children playing games in the yard; the taste of homemade ice cream; the sound of toe-tapping fiddle playing; the feel of soft biscuit dough between your fingers. A visit to Sauder Villages Summer on the Farm will engage all of your senses in one memorable afternoon! This annual event focuses on farm life of the early 20th century. Guests not only get to watch history reenacted, they get to experience it first hand through many activities and demonstrations planned for the day. Visitors can do everything from helping to make ice cream, butter, and rope, to participating in a spelling bee, washing on a scrub board and flailing wheat. There are so many activities going on that you may just feel you really have traveled back in time!

26 Creedence Revived Summer Concert - Sauder Village Summer Concert on Main Street - Bring back live music to Sauder Village this summer with a spectacular concert featuring Creedence Revived, the worlds premier CCR Tribute Band! Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) was an American rock band in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Creedence Revived is one of the most highly sought-after CCR tribute bands around.

"We pay tribute. We play the music as if we wrote it. We perform as if we were the original band. CCR is legendary," said Rich Perez, lead vocalist.

During this evening concert on Main Street, you'll hear songs like Have You Ever Seen The Rain, Fortunate Son, Proud Mary, Bad Moon Rising, Born on the Bayou, and more! Thanks to our event sponsors for making this concert possible.

2 Backyard Bash Downtown Archbold - It's the Backyard Bash Concert Downtown Archbold Featuring Drew Green. Special Guest Dylan Raymond will take the stage at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $5. Gates open at 5pm with live music starting at 6pm.

10 - 11 Antique Bicycle Event at Sauder Village - The Ohio Wheelmen's biennial Regional Meet will be held at Sauder Village this year! There will be riding demonstrations, antique bicycle exhibits on the village green, and a bicycle parade at 1:00 p.m.

12 - 17 Traditional Rug Hooking Exhibition - A craft originating for practical purposes over 150 years ago has blossomed into an amazing modern-day expression of creativity. Using the same techniques as long ago, simple strips of wool fabric and burlap backings are transformed into beautiful works of art that can be enjoyed by all. For six days in August, an exhibit of Traditional Hooked Rugs will be on display in Founders Hall at Sauder Village. The exhibit has been referred to as one of the best exhibits of traditional hooked rugs in the country. Rug hookers from more than ten states will be contributing their pieces for the display and a rug hooking retreat and workshops are available for those wanting to learn more about this craft. There will also be rug hookers demonstrating throughout the week as well as vendor booths to purchase supplies. 11 - 14 Apple Butter Making Week at Sauder Village - The scent of apples and spices mixed with wood fires and falling leaves signals a change of season and the annual Apple Butter Making festival at Sauder Village in Archbold. For the 31st consecutive year, guests can watch as we boil the cider down, add the thinly sliced apples and then cook them in copper kettles over an open fire. There will be plenty of other extra apple-related activities going on throughout the Historic Village as well as apple treats for sale in our Bakery, Sweet Shoppe and Barn Restaurant.

21 Vintage Base Ball Game at Sauder Village - Cheers from an old-time baseball game will fill the air as the Sauder Village Windmills, the Great Black Swamp Frogs, and the Elkhart County Railroaders gather will take the field for the annual Sauder Village Vintage Baseball Game. Using rules from the 1860s and wearing period uniforms, the teams play the game as it was originally created. After the game, youngsters from the audience will be encouraged to try hitting the ball and running bases. 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.

28 Fiber Arts Fest - Have you ever wondered how a sheep's wool was transformed into your favorite sweater or warm wooly mittens? Join us at Sauder Village as artisans gather to demonstrate and share their love of fiber arts. At the Fiber Arts Fest we'll show how the wool is taken off a sheep's back and turned to cloth. Our spinners and weavers demonstrate spinning and different types of weaving, natural dying of fibers and other similar activities. Guests will be able to watch spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting and tatting demonstrations throughout the day. There will also be fiber exhibits, looms and spinning wheels on display, hands-on activities and wool felting and dyeing demonstrations. Make plans to join us for a fun and in-depth look at the world of fiber arts.

5 Fall on the Farm at Sauder Village - Family fun awaits visitors young and old as Sauder Village celebrates Fall on the Farm! Guests will have the opportunity to take a step back in time and help prepare the farm for the winter ahead. From making noodles and butter to decorating pumpkins, exploring a straw tunnel, watching farming demonstrations, participating in a spelling bee or enjoying the Harvest Home Festival in the church... there are special activities for all to enjoy. 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.

25 - 26 Woodcarvers' Show & Sale at Historic Sauder Village - Late October brings falling leaves, crisp afternoons and the traditional Woodcarvers' Show and Sale at Sauder Village. This special weekend is filled with family fun, unique artistry and traditional down-on-the-farm activities.

The Midwest's premier showcase for wood artisans and craftspeople, the annual Woodcarver's Show & Sale will feature not only woodcarvers but also woodworkers, woodturners, and other artists who create one-of-a-kind art pieces. Guests will enjoy visiting with exhibitors, watching demonstrations, and shopping at this juried art show featuring wood artisans

During this two-day event, Founder's Hall will be filled with skilled wood artisans showcasing hand-crafted works of art. Some of the exhibitor specialties for this annual show include hand-crafted wildlife, caricatures, bowls, cutting boards, plaques, ornaments, and so much more. There will also be items from artists specializing in relief and chip carving, woodturning, and one-of-a-kind artistic sculptural pieces. Not only will guests have a chance to see the artists and purchase their works, but they will also be able to learn more about this traditional art form through various demonstrations. The show will also feature unique shopping with a variety of hand-crafted wood art as well as specialty vendors selling carving tools and supplies.​
