23 Southbound Flea Market - Southern Ohio's largest indoor(40,000 sq. ft.)/outdoor(25,000 sq.ft.) flea market is conveniently located on U.S. Rt 23 five miles south of Piketon Ohio, 75 miles south of Columbus, and 85 miles east of Cincinnati. April

12 - 14 Dogwood Festival - The Dogwood Festival is held the last full weekend in April when the Dogwood is in full bloom. The festival features live entertainment, such as bluegrass, country and rock music. You will find artisans featuring their products, the Dogwood Quilters will be working on their quilts, apple butter making and much more. Contest for the kids, pie eating contests, a chili cook off and more. There is a horse trail ride, a cyclist tour, and more. The Grande Parade starts at 4:00 pm on Sunday. It is a great family event, come and visit with friends and relatives. It is down home fun.

13 The Cyclist Dogwood Tour - Fifty miles of paved road, beautiful scenery. The ride begins along the Scioto River and follows a creek valley gradually into the hills and into a little town called Nipgen, known as "Possum Trot" by early settlers, and where a chicken noodle lunch and other menu items may be purchased at the Nipgen United Methodist Church.

Next it is downhill for nearly 20 miles back to the Scioto River Valley and the Annual Piketon Dogwood Festival.

30 Benton Twp. Volunteer Fire Department Car Show - Benton Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. will be sponsoring a car show on Sunday July 15, 2012 from 9am-4pm at 13192 State Route 124, Piketon, OH 45661 (Directly across from Williams Corner Market). Registration begins at 9am, trophy presentation at 4pm, $10 registration fee, 1st 50 dash plaques, top 100 trophies, top 5 motorcycles, Fire Chief's Choice, Longest Distance. Food & refreshments served all day, Summer Fun Package Raffle, 50/50 drawings, door prizes, vendors tables, silent auction, free games & activities for the kids, live entertainment, visiting Fire Departments & more. A day filled with fun for the entire family!
