14 - 15 29th Annual Apple Butter Stir-Off Festival - Money raised at the event is used for local projects, such as purchasing glasses for people who cannot afford them and helping with youth organizations.



This year's entertainment will include bands from last year's event, such as the Buckeye Travelers and Elvis Presley Tribute artist Dwight Icenhower. The Palmer Boys will also be performing Oct. 7. Pageants are being held on Sunday.

31 - 10 Belpre Holiday Lights Festival - Enjoy the animated and fixed colored lighting displays on and near Ohio River (National) Scenic Byway in five city parks featuring the world's largest Christmas Carousel, animals, sea creatures, nursery rhymes, action scenes and hundreds of other unique pieces of lighting art. This festival attracts over 100,000 yearly.  Free admission, but donations appreciated.
