Annual Dutch Oven Gathering
- Area Dutch oven cookers will gather near the playground and begin cooking at 3:30 p.m. There will be breads, appetizers, main dishes and deserts. Brandon Hometown Days
- Hometown Days events include the Brandon Valley Ministerial Association Prayer Breakfast, the Hometown Cash Bash put on by the Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, "Saturday in the park" at McHardy Park which includes a craft fair, the annual Brandon Edge Duck Race, as well as an inflatable midway for the kids! Lets not forget about the Finals for the "Brandon Idol" singing competition taking place that day as well. The last event to finish the festivities is a Tractor Pull sponsored by Vintage Power. Annual Homesteader Day
- Every year, the park hosts the Homesteader Day Harvest Festival on the Sunday after Labor Day. The event attracts thousands of visitors of all ages who want a taste of homestead life and living history. The free event typically features fiddlers, pioneer crafts, living history and old-time farming demonstrations. Activities include threshing, old-time farming, antique tractors and equipment displays, pioneer crafts such as quilting, spinning, broom making, candle dipping, rope making, butter churning, tatting and more.
