26 - 27 Dogwood Arts & Crafts Festival - Only one spot in the Tri-State features quality vendors offering you hand-crafted jewelry, wood items, candles, quilts, metal works, children's clothing, West Virginia made food products, and a whole lot more and that's the Big Sandy Superstore Arena. The Dogwood Arts and Crafts Festival takes its familiar position the last weekend of April bringing area residents the best in handcrafted artwork. The day gets started at 10:00 am and lasts until 8:00 pm. Grandpa's Grill will be servin' up some quality eats and there will be some fine entertainment too. Be a part of the longest running event on the Arena schedule!!!

4 Heritage Farm and Museum Spring Festival - Experience life as it was in an Appalachian pioneer community and learn about the major inventions and transportation revolution that changed everything. Travel through history among the 17 restored buildings of the community. Witness a blacksmith, weaver, potter, corn grinder, basket maker, cooper, quilter, wood carver, broom maker, furniture maker and others demonstrate their crafts. See a shingle mill in operation as well as a steam operated saw mill. Music, food, arts & crafts, and a farm zoo. 10:00am - 4:00pm. Held annually, the first Saturday in May.

4 Annual DAWG Dazzle Fireworks Spectacular - Harris Riverfront Park, in Huntington, WV welcomes a fireworks extravaganza that will light up the skies across the Ohio River. The Annual DAWG Dazzle Fireworks Spectacular, presented by 93.7 the DAWG, will be the largest fireworks display launched in the Tri-State area. This salute to freedom will begin at 4:30pm. This Spectacular event will include a variety of events for the whole family, together with musical entertainment and much more. Pre-show begins at 6pm followed by 93.7 the DAWG's Jamboree at 8pm. Concluding with the fireworks at sunset.

12 Chili Fest - Chili cooks from all over West Virginia and surrounding states compete to become the West Virginia champion and compete in the World's Chili Championship. Chili cooking live music, contests, food and entertainment throughout the day. Event benefits the River Cities Ronald McDonald House.
