Brian will demonstrate the basics of sculpting dinosaur models from clay.
All participants will create a model to take home.

5 National Fossil Day Celebration at BCMNH - Fossil ID and presentation on Volcanoes in Missouri by Geology Professor Michael Fix at 2:00pm.
Native American relics ID and hands on primitive skills demonstrations with Arrowhead Fred Bollinger at 1:00-3:00pm.
Activities include Museum Fossil Scavenger Hunt with Missouri Fossil prizes, make your own fossil, and other fossil related crafts, games, and activities will be ongoing during museum open hours.
Museum hours: Noon-4:30pm.

12 International Archaeology Day Celebration at BCMNH - Mississippi Mound Building Indians. Mike Comer, Natural Resource Manager for the Missouri State Park System, will present a program on the Mississippian culture and how they lived at 1:00pm. Touch items will be available for the public to handle and see examples of the Mississippian culture.
A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
Activities include a children's Native American archaeology dig
Hands on childrens' activities, and other puzzles, games, and crafts appropriate to the Archaeology theme will be ongoing during museum open hours.
