17 - 19 Sugar Valley Rally - The Sugar Valley Rally is one of Western Nebraska's great summer events for people of all ages. The Rally is a precision-driving contest for antique cars (1961 and older) that covers hundreds of scenic miles in the North Platte Valley. The Sugar Valley Rally is sanctioned by Great Race, L.L.C. Enjoy the old cars on the road or in one of the Panhandle Towns.

Annual events held in downtown Gering includes Western & Wildlife Art Show, Kiddie Parade, Oregon Trail Days Grand Parade (20,000 spectators), Chili Cookoff, Food and Craft Fair, Bed Races, and evening concerts at the Amphitheater.

31 - 1NE0707004e003 - Gering Farm and Ranch Museum Annual Harvest Festival - THIRD WEEKEND - Demonstrations, displays of horse, steam and gas powered vintage equipment.

Steam tractors, Stationary Baling, Sweep Grinding, hay rides, corn shelling by hand and power, threshing, gas engines, many tractors and other implements! Vintage Horse and Tractor Plowing Demonstrations. Blacksmith, sugar beet equipment, mowing, raking, stacking, stationary and horse powered baling. Drilling a well with a cable tool driller and displays of bean equipment. Plows include: 10 bottom John Deere sod plow, walking, sulky, tumble, two way, spinner and dry land plows.
