Annual Bearfootin' Art Walk Reveal
- It’s a new year, and it’s time to reveal what everyone has been waiting for. The newest crop of bears are ready to take their place on the sidewalks of downtown Hendersonville! 20 bears for this year will be revealed. Each bear will be introduced by the teams who collaborated on their design and production. Attend this event and you will have a chance to welcome them face-to-face. Entertainment begins at 4:30 pm with live jazz. The bears will take their places throughout the district following the Reveal and will be in place until late October when the Bearfootin’ Art Auction takes place at the Historic Henderson County Courthouse square. The Bearfootin’ Public Art Walk, which debuted in 2003, has consistently brought joy to visitors of Historic Downtown Hendersonville while raising a considerable amount of money for local charities and art in Historic Downtown. Funds from the auctions helped facilitate the artist selection process that eventually resulted in the creation of "Mountain Memory," the fountain found at the First Citizen's Bank Plaza today. We hope you'll join us to welcome our newest bears to Main in a space that they've helped create. Address: First Citizen Bank Plaza, 6th Ave & Main Street , Hendersonville, North Carolina |
