2 - 4AL0101009e022 - Foley Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival - Nearly 45 balloons, pilots and crew from across the U.S. will descend upon Foley for a weekend filled with flight competitions, festival food and fun. There will be a Children's Village, a Farmer's Market, arts and crafts booths, helicopter rides, remote control airplanes, a NASA demonstration, as well as a variety of great food! There will be live musical entertainment throughout the weekend by various artists, and on Saturday night C.C. & The Midnight Groovers will take the stage for an exciting performance!

Please remember that ballooning is a sport dependent on near-perfect weather conditions. Weather permitting, balloons can only be seen within two hours of sunrise and two hours before sunset.

The Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival is an exciting way to spend your weekend. Join us for a day or all weekend. It's family fun that's sure to please - and a great treat for Dads of all ages. For more information, visit the festival website.

11 - 12 Annual Art in the Park - Celebrate Mother's Day weekend at Art in the Park, a competitive juried fine arts show for artists across the southeast. Over 125 artists showcase their talents while providing unique cultural experiences and shopping opportunities. Artists and craftsmen compete for thousands of dollars in award money while shoppers chose from pottery, crafts, jewelry, photography, glass, paintings and numerous original works of art. Awards are presented based on independent judges' decisions at a picnic/supper reception at the Art Center on Saturday evening. Acceptance as a festival vendor has become a very competitive process ensuring that the wares presented are high quality.

11AL0101009e058 - Foley FoleyCon - In collaboration with FoleyCon organizers, the Foley Civic Center is proud to present a free gaming and comic-con event. Immerse yourself in the world of fantasy and adventure with our array of gaming area, cosplay competitions, and awesome vendors.

One confirmed featured guest, local celebrity, Alan Sealls will be giving a presentation at 12pm to 1pm in the Council Chambers entitled "Weather in Your Face!" Mr. Sealls will be signing books at FoleyCon after his presentation.

Other vendors and guests include: Droid Operators of Pensacola, 501st legion called Delta Squad and Nikkis Magickal Creations to name just a few.

25 LiveOak Village Senior Celebration - The LiveOak Village Senior Celebration will be held under the oaks at LiveOak Village Asisted Living. This event is for families and people of all ages. Enjoy, the presentation of the Senior Celebration Court and King and Queen, games for people of all ages, including children, raffle drawings for fabulous prizes, refreshments, live music entertainment, a BARC Pet Adoption and a fun Dog Show. 1 - 3AL0101009e008 - Foley Jennifer Claire Moore Annual Professional Rodeo - Pre-Rodeo activities each night starting at 6:00pm. Rodeo starts at 8:00pm. From bareback bronco riding and barrel racing to children's activities, the rodeo is fun for the whole family. The Jennifer Claire Moore Professional rodeo has gotten The Best Rodeo Committee Award from the Professional Cowboy Association the past five years, and historically the attendance has surpassed 8,000 people.

All proceeds from the rodeo benefit Baldwin County schools' Peer Helping Programs, which provide peer-to-peer counseling for at-risk students focusing on everything from suicide prevention to dropout and bullying prevention.

The horse arena is just off Highway 59, south of South Baldwin Regional Medical Center.

26 Halloween Family Extravaganza - Please join the Foley Public Library for its Annual Halloween Extravaganza. A stuffed animal walk, a scavenger hunt, a costume contest for children and teens, and ghost storytelling will all be going on at this holiday event. Doors open at 6 pm and the event ends at 9 pm. Many goodies will be shared. Please bring your children and come have a spooky time with us at the library!
