The Bayou GatorCraw Fest is what great Cajun-Creole culture is all about. The festival will feature a Louisiana live crawfish boil, alligator-on-a-stick, Louisiana gourmet chef demonstrations, Zydeco, gospel and jazz bands, a Kidz' Zone, storytelling, arts and crafts, games, local vendors and much, much more.

There will be Authentic Cajun and Creole Food, take home sales, and a VIP Party at Chateau du Rouge with full buffet and private bar, mardi gras beads, and premier seating at two stages to keep you and your family entertained all day!

27 Tuttle Creek Crappie Club Tournament - There's some big crappie lurking in the depths of Tuttle Creek Lake, just waiting to be caught. Teams of anglers will go in pursuit of those monster crappies during the Tuttle Creek Crappie Club Tournament. Registrations, Take Off and Weigh In will be at the Wildcat Marina Ramp. Takeoff at safe light, fish ​until 2:30pm.

27 Brew 2 Shoe 10K, 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run - Join us for the 12th Annual Brew 2 Shoe road races. The race is on August 1st, 2020 at 7 am. This year we are proud to be sponsored by Midwest Dream Car Collection. This event was started in 2008 to celebrate the anniversaries of Manhattan Running Company and Tallgrass Brewing Company. In 2009 the event began as a 10k that started at Tallgrass and finished in the parking lot of MRC. Since then, both companies have moved locations and now the event starts and finishes on Poyntz Ave in front of the Tallgrass Taphouse. The event has grown from 150 runners the Inaugural year to nearly 900 in 2015. This race continues to be a fan favorite in its 12th year!

2 Flint Hills Sheek Boutique Shop and Crop - The Flint Hills Sheek Boutique is a unique bi-annual Holiday shopping event that brings various local and not so local businesses together in one place. 3 Annual German Mennonite Meal & Intern'l Craft & Bake Sale - This event will feature a German Mennonite meal featuring borscht (chicken & vegetable soup-no beets), homemade bread, whole hog sausage and New Years cookies. 22 Festival of Lights Celebration and Lighting Ceremony - Manhattan Festival of Lights welcomes the holiday season as Blue Earth Plaza in southeast Manhattan is bathed in glorious lighting to usher in the celebration of the season. Carnegie Library

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Carnegie Library was built in 1904 with the help of a $10,000 grant from Andrew Carnegie. The building is located just to the west of the Courthouse and now houses the county attorney's office.

State Fishing Lake No. 2.is located about four miles northeast of Manhattan. Pottawatomie Lake #2 is a scenic lake of about 75 acres that holds nice populations of crappie, largemouth bass and bluegill. The lake also produces impressive strings of channel catfish and holds some very nice walleyes.
