30 - 6 World Championship Cow Chip Throw - On the 3rd Saturday of April each year, the fairgrounds plays host to the famous World Championship Cowchip Throw. Contestants from all over the state and nation attend this event. The contestant throws his or her cowchips and whoever throws it the furtherest is the winner. Divisions include Men, Women, VIP, and Teams(4 persons to a team).

This event receives world wide media attention. It is our number one claim to fame.

This event is part of the Cimarron Territory Celebration that honors early settlers of Beaver County. Parades, contests, shoot-outs, exhibits, and many other events are a part of this yearly celebration. The events all take place within one week starting the second Saturday of April known as Cowchip Week.

29 - 31 Beaver County Free Fair - The Beaver County Free Fair will be held at the Beaver County Fairgrounds with exhibits taken from 3:00-7:00pm on Thursday.

Entries can be pre-entered to the Extension Office or emailed to: sandra.cooper@okstate.edu by Wednesday, September 3rd. For more information contact the Beaver County OSU Extension Office at 580-625-3464.

All 4-H Department entries except perishable (foods & horticulture) exhibits are due to the Beaver County Extension Office no later than 5:00pm on Tuesday.
