This countywide scholarship program recognizes, rewards, and encourages excellence while promoting self-esteem among these young women. 7:00 PM.

The Payne County's Junior Miss Scholarship Program was selected as the Outstanding Local "Be Your Best Self" Program in the nation at the 2004 America's Junior Miss national finals in Mobile, Alabama.

Payne County's Junior Miss Scholarship Program is looking for outstanding junior girls. In the Spring semester of their junior year a Payne County junior will be named Payne County's Junior Miss. She will represent Payne County in the Oklahoma Junior Miss program in January, in Oklahoma City, and if she becomes Oklahoma Junior Miss, she will represent Oklahoma in the America's Junior Miss program in June in Mobile, Alabama. If you are looking for a fun way to win cash college scholarships, then the Junior Miss program is for you. The High School girls will compete for college scholarships in the categories of Interview, Fitness, Talent, Be Your Best Self Essay, Spirit, Scholastics, and Self-Expression. The America's Junior Miss Program was developed in 1958 and is the largest scholarship program of it's kind in the world.

We serve the Payne County communities of Stillwater, Perkins, Cushing, Yale, Ripley and Glencoe. 3 - 6 Tumbleweed's Annual Calf Fry - The annual calf fry has grown to be the major event of the year. The event has evolved into two evenings of quality entertainment, including bullriding. Chris LeDoux had been a major force of this growth over the years by performing each year. The 6th Annual Calf Fry in 1997 served over 3,000 calf fry meals and entertained over 8,000 people. The 9th Annual Calf Fry went to a three-day event and hosted Lori Morgan in concert on Saturday with bullriding, the famous calf fry meal and Chris LeDoux in concert on Sunday with the attendance of 10,000 over the three-day event. Now, the event routinely hosts at least 7 artists over the two nights with attendance hovering around 10,000 people for the event.

29OK0410027e027 - Stillwater MDA Benefit Fun Run - Bikers Support Muscular Dystrophy Association

The Land Run Harley Owners Group Chapter will be hosting an MDA Fun Run open to the general public and individuals may register in advance due to attendance expectations. The first fifty registered riders will receive a commemorative MDA pin. Additional pins will be available while supplies last for a $5 donation. On-site registration will begin at 9 a.m. We will depart at 10:30 a.m. to begin "Cruizing the Streets" to show our support for this worthwhile organization.

Individuals may register on the morning of the ride for $20 per rider and $15 per passenger. The ride will begin and end at Forman Harley-Davidson, 3512 S. Boomer Rd., Stillwater, OK 74074. All proceeds will be donated to MDA.

MDA is a national health agency that is combating some 43 neuromuscular diseases through major research and patient services programs. As a national corporate sponsor of MDA, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, the only major American-based motorcycle manufacturer, has raised more than $71 million for MDA since 1980.

24 Parade of Homes - SECOND SUNDAY - Sponsored by the Stillwater Womens Club.
The Stillwater Woman's Club will host its 48th Parade of Homes on Sunday December 12, 2010 from 1:30-4:30pm. This year the proceeds benefit The Saville Center. The Saville Center is a child advocacy center that provides a warm and caring home environment for child victims of abuse. Four Board members from the Saville Center have graciously opened their homes for the tour. This year's Tea House will be the Sheerar Museum of Stillwater History located at 702 S. Duncan. In addition to their regular exhibits, Sheerar will be featuring the First Responders and Angie Debo exhibits and will have on display vintage decorations from throughout 20th century. The Stillwater Woman's Club will provide refreshments. Tickets to view all of the beautifully decorated homes and the Sheerar Museum are $5.00 per person and can be purchased at Sheerar Museum, Flourishes (617 S.
