Arts on the Square and Classic/Antique Car Show - Arts on the Square will be celebrating its 45th anniversary this year. A committee is working to make the 45th the best one yet. 10 - 11 Annual Kiowa County Quilt Show - There will be a quilt merchant mall, door prizes, free demonstrations, quilts for sale and free goodie bags to the first 400 guests. Fri 9 am - 6 pm and Sat 9 am to 5 pm.

General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum along with the Hobart Community will hold its Annual Celebration of Freedom. Southwest Oklahoma’s premier Memorial Weekend event is headed to the BIG TOP. A celebration with 3 stages featuring a variety of FREE concerts. Complete with a "Battle of the Bands" and "Southwest Oklahoma's Got Talent", this event provides an opportunity for everyone to join in. Patriotism is our way of life and our brave men and women in uniform will be honored as a part of each and every concert.

Hobart's first annual BBQ Cook-Off is sure to delight your palette, and a variety of activities for children will keep your family hopping. Our new approach to the weekend expands the number of FREE concerts, events, and the number of veterans honored. The events you have come to love will continue with the Patriot Parade, Wild Hog Fly-In, Motorcycle Poker Run, Oklahoma's Largest Silent Auction, and downtown festivities all weekend long.

The highlight of the weekend will be an intimate concert under the BIG TOP.

24 - 25 Kiowa County Free Fair - The Kiowa County Fair is held annually the weekend after Labor Day in September at the Kiowa County Fairgrounds. From the livestock judging, to preserves and jellies from Grandma's kitchen, the County Fair renews the community spirit of all attending.

29 Fall Festival & Kiowa County Heritage Days Pow Wow -

Festival highlights include craft and food booths, live entertainment, displays of antique tractors, classic and antique cars, a chili and brisket cookoff, riding lawn mower races, outhouse races, and an Indian exposition. 9am-5pm. Handicap Accessible.

Hobart's annual PowWow will be held on October 12, at the Fred Gray Baseball Park in Hobart. The day begins at 2:00 p.m. with dancing and entertainment. There will be a break at 5:00 p.m. for the supper meal, and dancing will resume at 6:30 p.m. The PowWow will highlight Indian dancing, dress, drums, and crafts.

The Kiowa County Museum occupies the historic Rock Island Depot listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was built in 1909 and used until the 1970s. The Kiowa County Historical Society acquired the site in 1987
