Military Appreciation Day
- All Star Sports of West Wichita and All Star Adventures of East Wichita are hosting a Military Appreciation Day this July 4th. All active and retired military receive a free PICK THREE pass in the All Star Sports location and the All Star Adventure location. Midwest Hunt Fest

Pedal Fest
- PedalFest is a charity bike event to benefit Heartspring, a worldwide center for children with special needs. The day's events include a 50k and 100k leisure bike ride through the scenic countryside around Wichita, KS as well as several family events including a Family ride and a bike decorating contest and parade for kids. All proceeds raised through rider registrations, donations and sponsorships go directly to benefit the children of Heartspring. FamilyFest is new this year and will be an expansion on the Family Ride from previous years. Deli Day at Congregation Emanu-El
- Deli Day â€" Traditional Jewish Cooking with a Yiddish Flavor. A new item being served this year is the nosh of lox. What is a nosh of lox? It is a piece of cured salmon on a piece of pumpernickel bread with dill, a perfect way to start the meal. If you come for lunch, you will be served a nosh of lox, matzo ball soup, your choice of slow roasted beef brisket or lean corned beef sandwich, kosher pickle, cucumber tomato salad, deli chips and homemade apple strudel. If you don't have time to sit, schmooze and see who is schmoozing you can carry out from Uncle Manny's Deli. Mayor's Christmas Tree Lighting and Lights on the River
