5 - 14MO1004042e013 - St. Charles Family Arena Fun Fest - Enjoy first-rate family entertainment and a huge midway with more than 30 rides ranging from whimsical kiddie rides to state-of-the-art thrill rides, carnival games and favorite fair food.

Free with gate admission are Dominguez Circus acts including the edge-of-your-seat Globe of Death motorcycle thrill show; human cannonball "Rocketman" Valencia freeflying through the air at 55 mph; a petting zoo; Bubble Show foam party experience for kids; and fireworks (9:30 pm July 14).

Admission is $10, $5 for children 36"-48" tall, and free for kids under 36" tall.

Unlimited ride wristbands are $35 on site or $25 online before 4 pm July 7. An Admission & Rides Combo is $30 online in advance.

16 - 18 Festival of the Little HIlls - The largest festival of the year, drawing more than 300,000 visitors over the 3-day weekend. Activities include over 300 craft booths, with some demonstrations by crafts people and artisans. Also includes numerous food & beverages booths along with live music and other entertainment.

13 - 15 Mosaics - Festival for the Arts - A major arts festival that brings renowned artists from across the States to exhibit and sell their artwork. 125 artists - paintings, sculpture, photography, metalwork, wearable art, clay and fine arts; including jewelry, glass, and fiber. Enjoy outstanding musical groups at performing stages, unique hands on activities in the Children's Village, Artists Demonstration Stage, and "Mentor Me" art exhibition from area schools' students & teachers at the Foundry Art Centre. Los Posadas is the first Saturday in December at 6 p.m. Candlelight shopping and dining Wednesday and Friday evenings until 9 p.m.

Hours: Saturdays 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Sundays 12 - 5 p.m., Wednesday & Friday evenings 6 - 9 p.m.

30 Las Posadas - Gather your candles, luminaries, lanterns and flashlights and join the beautiful procession by candlelight that has been a Spanish tradition for centuries. Follow behind a live reenactment of Mary and Joseph searching for a room at the "inn". Procession begins at the corner of S. Main St. and Boone's Lick Rd., travels north on Main St. to First Capitol Dr., and culminates in Frontier Park with a live nativity, the traditional Yule Log, and caroling. 6 p.m.
