5 - 7 Annual Miami Boom Town Spree - The festivities feature the Arizona State Mining Championships. The Boomtown Spree Parade kicks off the weekend on Friday. The fun continues until 9 pm with live entertainment, performances and a food. The weekend also features cultural dancing, arts and crafts, live musical entertainment, activities for kids, bed races, car shows, basketball tournaments, a street dance, antique mining equipment displays, and more. The best manual miners in the state compete in such events as hand drilling, team drilling, spike driving, and mucking! At stake is the title of Arizona State Mining Champion and the coveted Boomtown Spree belt buckle. Bring the whole family!

27 - 29 Annual Globe-Miami Old Time Reunion - A three day reunion originally started in 1980 by some old Globe-Miami baseball players, it has been called by several names over the years - from Oldtime Globe-Miami Baseball Players Reunion to the Globe-Miami Oldtimers Reunion. It draws several hundred people home to the Globe-Miami community every year. And as many out of town people, mostly from California, attend the festivities as local people. The weekend is celebrated with a dinner and dance on Friday and Saturday evenings, and breakfast on Sunday morning.
