30 Chetopa Eggstravaganza - The Chetopa Chamber of Commerce along with the help of the Chetopa Police Department sponsor a MAGNIFICENT Easter Egg Hunt every year right before Easter. This event is held yearly at the Football Field or in case of rain at the Old Gym.

4 Fourth of July - Independence Day in Chetopa Kansas is an enormous celebration. Thanks to the Chamber of Commerce, the City of Chetopa, & the Chetopa Fire Department there are all day festivities in the park. Chetopa's Fourth of July Celebration is held every year on July 4th and brings in a great crowd. Festivities usually start around 10:00 AM and end with a street dance around mid-night.

29 Be Safe Halloween and Pumpkin Parade - Every year on Halloween Evening the Chetopa Chamber of Commerce sponsors a HUGE pumpkin parade. With around 300 kids attending every year the Old School Gym is packed with trick or treaters. While every child 6th grade and younger will leave with their treat bags filled with all sorts of goodies, there is also a costume contest with the chance to win much bigger prizes.
Immediately following the Pumpkin Parade be sure to head on out to the "Be Safe" Halloween sponsored by the Chetopa Police Department. Here you will find free hot dogs and pop, hay rides, & a spooktacular maze.

16 Pecan Fest - THIRD SATURDAY - Held in the heart of Pecan Harvest every year this event is filled with all things nutty! The Chetopa Chamber of Commerce sponsors a full day of activities celebrating Chetopa being the "Pecan Capitol". A huge craft show can be found at the Old Gym.

11 Chetopa Christmas Parade - The Annual Chetopa Kansas Christmas Parade is held on the Second Wednesday in December every year. This event is sponsored yearly by the Chetopa Chamber of Commerce and is a great way to welcome in the Holiday Season!! Bright lights and cheerful sounds fill main street of Chetopa shortly after dark as the parade makes it's way down a crowd filled Main Street! Bundle up the kids and come out to this exciting event!
