- Part of the N.C. 4th of July Festival this Family Day includes entertainment, bocce tournament, volleyball tournament, horseshoe tournament, sand creations contest, karaoke, shag contest, concert. Long Bay Lady Angler King Mackerel Tournament
- A ladies king mackerel tournament sponsored by the Oak Island Fishing Club. The largest ladies only fishing tournament on the east coast. Per Boat Fee charged to enter tournament. Address: South Harbour Marina |

Oak Island Arts and Crafts Festival
- 85 artists and crafters display and sell their works. Food and drink available. Proceeds benefit scholarship fund and the library. 9 am to 4 pm.
