28 El Dorado Walleye Tournament - The KWA welcomes anglers of all ages. It is tournament fishing for fun. 9 Butler County Spring Fling - Butler County Department on Aging Spring Fling Resource Festival. It is the largest event in Butler County focused on seniors and their caregivers. Spring Fling is always a great way to have fun while learning about the services, trends, and opportunities for today's older adults and caregivers. Booths offering information on a range of goods, services, and information for seniors will be at three locations. A free shuttle helps visitors park at any of the three locations and ride the shuttle to the other locations.

25 Relay for Life - In the fight against cancer, silence is the last thing we need. Your local American Cancer Society Relay For Life event is a great place to take action and make noise. The Relay For Life movement features community and campus events that offer an inspiring opportunity to honor cancer survivors, promote how individuals can reduce their cancer risk, and raise money to help end cancer. LOCATION: El Dorado Lake State Park, Walnut River Beach

El Dorado State Park is located 3 miles east of El Dorado, Kansas on Hwy 54 and 1 mile north. It is just 25 minutes east of Wichita, KS. The races will start in the Walnut River area of the park, just below the dam. The swim course will consist of 1 loop for the sprint distance and 2 loops for the Olympic distance. Plenty of parking and camping will be available in the race area.

13 - 15 KS Veterans Family Reunion - This summer, Veterans, their families and friends from all over the nation, will again meet on the 3rd weekend of July. We will once again be entertained with music by live bands. There will be auctions, opportunities to win, kids' entertainment tent, U.S.O. style show, food, drink and other vendors. The auctions and opportunities to win are used to fund the reunion's expenses and prepare for the following year. Veterans who are returning from current conflicts never pass up the opportunity to welcome a brother and sister home. Please let them know about our Reunion.

All veterans are welcome, any time, or any conflict.

There will be FREE Lake access Fee for all prior and active and retired military with accepted military or Veteran's Administration ID or DD-214 or other proof of service. Many thanks to the KDWPT for their help and for allowing the veterans to enjoy this benefit.

Rule and regulations:

• Team consist of 10 (7 guys-3 girls) or 12 (1 guy 1 girl Extra Hitter)
• Teams must use own balls (Classic M/W or Classic Plus-USSSA)
• Double Elimination
• Unlimited home runs
• Pitch count will begin at 1 ball/ 1 strike
• Run rule will be 10 after 5 or 15 after 3
• 55-minute game time.
• Tie games after 6 innings or 55-minute time limit will be decided by tiebreaker. (Inning starts with one out and last batter out on 2nd base)
• Teams must be ready to play once game before is done

21KS0101044e220 - El Dorado Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital Rods for Rides Car Show - The Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital will be holding its first Rods for Rides Car Show in the Hospital parking lot. The Car Show will be from 2 to 6 p.m., with registration from noon to 2 p.m., judging from 2 to 5 p.m. and awards at 5 p.m. Awards will be given for: Top 10, Sponsor's Choice, Hard Luck, Longest Distance Traveled and Medical/Healthcare.

Pre-registration is $20 and must be completed by Sept. 14; registration the day of the show is $25.

The car show will raise money for the SBAMH Foundation and transportation needs for patients and volunteers.
