30 Boar's Head Pageant - The Boar's Head celebration dates back to Medieval England where it began as a winter feast for the poor. The main dish was the meat of the feared wild boar -- its head gaily decorated and carried on a platter. Eventually, the feast became part of the Christmas season, recalling the arrival of the wise men in Bethlehem to visit the Christ child.

This delightful theatrical presentation takes you to a castle of Olde England, a lavish royal party, the arrival of the Yule Log, caroling, and the Boar’s Head celebration – the conquest of the ferocious wild boar.

Bring your family and friends to enjoy this fabulous musical production, featuring a magnificent orchestra professional performers, traditional songs, elaborate period costumes and the arrival of the Magi.

Begins at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the church office.

15 Martin Luther King Jr. March & Festival - The Annual Community March celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy while uplifting diversity and multi-culturalism in our city. The MLK Community March kicks off on Monday at 9 a.m.with a short program at the MLK Statue on the University of Texas campus.

Then march on to the historic Huston-Tillotson University, where exciting activities are planned. All businesses, non-profit organizations and individuals are invited to march and celebrate Dr. King’s legacy.

The MLK Community Festival kicks off as soon the march arrives on location and will last until 3 p.m.; it will include all types of vendors and local musical artists to make this year’s celebration the best ever!

11 Austin Marathon - Austin Marathon (formerly the Freescale Marathon) is the 15th largest marathon in the country, and it draws nearly 10,000 runners to Austin. USATF-certified and sanctioned, the point-to-point course begins in northwest Austin, continues south through downtown toward the Colorado River (aka Town Lake), wraps around the lake and finishes on Auditorium Shores. 30 - 5 Conspirare Christmas - Conspirare performs a holiday "collage" of choral concerts at the Carillon on Saturday and Sunday at 2:30pm and 8:00pm, and various hosting centers the other afternoons.
