28KS0613008e004 - Fredonia Fredonia Fall Homecoming Festival - When most people think of homecoming, they think of something that is primarily for those who are from a particular place. What started in 1923 as a way for Fredonia’s original settlers to reunite in a one day celebration has now turned in to a 10 day event.

Old Iron Club kicks off the festivities with its annual Old Iron Days taking folks back in time with live displays of the rural life of yesteryear. The annual Fredonia Business Women Homecoming Queen’s pageant was introduced in 1948 and continues on today. As time has passed, the annual event has grown. Today, participants can enjoy a local talent search, free live entertainment, three day carnival with games and rides, Chamber golf tournament, Grand Parade, craft / food vendors, and a scholarship fundraiser dance. And because it is a homecoming, those who are from Fredonia can enjoy the mini-reunions hosted each year at the middle school.

Fredonia Fall Homecoming Festival offers something for everyone. It is a time for local residents to show their community pride and watch their town of 2,500 grow to almost 10,000 during a 10-day period. We welcome and encourage all to join us for this great annual event!
