CoinTent promises to help news organisations generate additional revenue from readers who might not be willing to pay a full subscription – and convert some of those who buy single articles into subscribers. Our platform for micropayments help to sell individual stories on their websites. A person coming to a news article or video from a link on Facebook, for example, could be given the option to pay for a subscription or purchase access to the single story for 50 cents. Once a customer has registered with CoinTent, they can pay for articles on any participating publishers’ website with a single click that debits their account.
