There are 1,277 acres with hiking, biking and horse trails. Scenic streams and bluffs along three creeks. Primitive camping permitted. Home to rare and endangered Topeka Shiner and Cherrystone Snail. No facilities.

Walters-Boone County Historic Museum

Our historical museum and art gallery, located in beautiful Nifong Park, celebrates the unique cultural heritage of mid-Missouri with exhibits and programs. Since 2005, the Village at Boone Junction has been a planned village of historic homes, each native to Boone County.

Finger Lakes State Park

Reclaimed strip-mine area is one of two state parks where off-road motorcycling is allowed. Seven strip pits for swimming, canoeing and fishing. Camping and picnicking facilities. RV and tent sites, electricity, trails, toilets, showers and ADA accessible.

Martin Luther King Memorial Garden

A public work of art with Dr. King's writings, landscaped gardens, gathering place next to MKT Trail.
