The Shady Lady Bed and Breakfast is located upstairs in what was the original Grand Central Saloon Building in the late 1800s. The B&B was created in 2008 in a manner that preserves the historical features but is completely modern. Shady Lady B&B offers four uniquely appointed rooms, each with a private bath and other amenities you expect. The Madame's Room honors Sarah, the woman who was known to arrange entertainment for the saloon patrons. This room has a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub. The Victorian Garden Suite is awash in light colors of nature and has a claw footed tub and shower for your convenience. The Chisholm Trail room channels the cattle driving days of early Texas with leather furnishings, rustic wood accents and a six ft long, extra deep copper soaking tub complete with hand held shower hose. The Santa Fe room has a southwestern feel and is decorated in the original colors of the railroad giant. A fireplace and a claw footed tub with shower are yours to enjoy. Guests enjoy breakfast at their leisure in the sun lit common area overlooking California St and the historical Cooke County Courthouse. An extensive collection of books as well as board games and puzzles are available for your use. A full service restaurant is right downstairs and room service can be pre-arranged. If celebrating a special occasion, the innkeepers will be happy to help with the arrangements. The B&B is just steps away from Amelia's Attic, a collector's paradise offering two entire floors of vendor booths. Collectibles, antiques, gift ware, jewelry, vintage toys and linens, home decor, and toys are among the treasures you'll find.
