20 Love Your Heart Run & Crank Your Heart Ride - Join the Exceptional Outreach Organization and Auburn Parks and Recreation on Saturday for the Annual Love Your Heart Run and the Annual Crank Your Heart Ride. These events benefit individuals with special needs and support Special Olympics of Lee County, Best Buddies of Auburn University and other therapeutic programs. Love Your Heart Run participants may choose to run or walk either a one-mile or 10K (6.4 mile) course. The Crank Your Heart Ride will consist of a 3, 10, and 22 mile bike ride. All routes begin and end at Chewacla State Park.

6 Annual Auburn City Fest - Auburn City Fest is Auburn's largest FREE, outdoor festival and is open to all ages. Held on the last Saturday of every April, Auburn City Fest attracts more than 35,000 citizens to Kiesal Park. Auburn CityFest, presented by the Opelika-Auburn News, includes fine arts, a juried art show, arts & crafts, live musical entertainment, children's activities, and much, much more. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Patrons of the event will have an opportunity to visit hundreds of exhibitors with fine art and homemade arts and crafts including: hand woven baskets, hand crafted jewelry, pottery and much more. There will also be a Non-Profit Showcase, Children's Art Exhibition and variety of other attractions.

CityFest is a rain or shine event. Applications for exhibitors and volunteers are available on the CityFest website.

27AL0415165e012 - Auburn Annual Heroes Take Flight Fly-in - The Annual Heroes Take Flight Fly-In is an aviation event for the whole family. The event honors our Armed Forces and veterans. There are several attractions on hand including vintage planes; war birds; active and vintage military vehicles; helicopter rides; parachutists; a special veterans hospitality area; children's area with inflatables; great food and more. 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Volunteers, vendors and sponsors are welcome. For more information and ticket locations, visit website and click on the plane!

Veterans may pre-register by visiting website and completing the registration form. Registration closes January 31, 2010. Veterans that register receive: free entry; VIP Parking; access to the veterans hospitality area and a free gift.
