Mount Nebo 5K Run
- All ages are welcome and everyone is encouraged to participate in this short run on top of the mountain. The run will be followed by a short awards ceremony in the large pavilion. The swimming pool will open for the summer immediately following this ceremony. For details, check out arkansasrunner.com or call the park. Volunteers are needed to help with the race. 67th Mt. Nebo Chicken Fry
- The purpose of the annual festival is to promote the poultry industry which is the largest industry and job provider in our area. The public, as well as vendors are invited to celebrate the industry through socialization, competitions and of course, chicken dinners. There will be events such as: car and bike show, power wheels race, horseshoe tournament, chicken race, chicken calling contest and Mr. Lovely Legs competition. This year plans are to host "Battle of the Bands". Tyson donates the chicken and ingredients for the chicken dinners.
