Whiskey Flat Days
- Take a step back in time and celebrate life in the 1850's. This old-fashioned, western style festival includes a parade, gunfighters, carnival, music, vendors, and a Whiskey Flat Encampment. Rotary Car Show & Pet Parades

The Rotary Club of Kern River Valley will host their Annual Car Show "Down by the River Side" and Pet Parade from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. at Riverside Park in Kernville. There is no charge for spectators to come over and see some very stunning cars and have a great time.
Across Kernville Rd, from the car show, is the start of the one mile long, Sirretta Street Yard Sale, in its 32nd year, which starts at 8:00 am. Many treasures have been found at Kernville's largest yard sale. The car show will have food, vendors, music and pet parade. The public is invited to come see some very beautiful and unique cars, which come from all over the west. The judged Car Show registration is open to all 1975 or older cars, trucks, street rods, rat rods, stock or custom cars. Car registration is $50 day of show ($45 by pre-registration), less $5 if event T-shirt isn’t needed. All entries receive a dash plaque, goodie bag and a free lunch. Winners receive an oak trophy plaque. The popular Rotary Pet Parade will take place at noon Saturday. Free Registration for the Rotary Pet Parade takes place starting at 11:00am. Prizes and ribbons will be awarded in the following categories: Cutest Pet, Best Trick, Largest/Smallest Pet, Friendliest Pet, Funniest Pet, Best Dressed Pet, Most Unusual Pet, Pet/Owner Look-Alike & Best Overall Pet. Each pet can compete in one category only. Your cat, dog, or large pet must be leashed. All other pets must be caged. Be prepared to clean up after your pet.
