The day starts with the Procession of Species parade along Main Street at 10am that leads into Sopris Park where tents will be filled with free sustainability-focused educational classes, kid's crafts, local artisans, organic gardeners and local food & beer! 23 - 7 Summer of Music - From classical with a twist to delta punk blues to rockabilly and Latin, the concerts will be dishing it up in true Carbondale fashion. Nocentelli, considered the "funkiest, fast-fingered guitarist" around, will be playing with Vail funk band Little Hercules. Local band Phunk Monkey will open. This is a night to get your groove on!

11 Festival Las Americas - The event celebrates the richness of culture and traditions of the American continent. The Festival is organized by Club Rotario Roaring Fork and serves as a fundraiser for educational projects throughout the area. The day will include cultural, artistic and recreational activities for the whole family, plus a great variety of food styles representing flavors from the Chilean coast to the Rockies. Live entertainment will feature Mexican northern music, salsa music, and a full Mariachi band.

20 - 22 Roaring Fork Valley Studio Tour - Painters, glassblowers, weavers, sculptors and other artists from Glenwood Springs, Carbondale, Missouri Heights, Basalt, Aspen and other valley locations join the Tour each year. About 50 artists' studios may be visited from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm each day of the Tour. Artists converse with visitors, demonstrate techniques and exhibit artwork during the Tour.
The Artists' Reception and Silent Auction will be held at the Sales Barn at River Valley Ranch on Friday, October 12 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
