North Park Snow Snakes Annual Poker Run
- Poker Run Headquarters are located in the State Park's shop behind the KOA in Gould, CO. The Poker Run starts at 10am and runs until 4pm. Pot is shared between the High Hand and the Low Hand. Great door prizes donated by North Park and Front Range businesses. The North Park Snow Snakes host this poker run to raise funds for the Colorado Snowmobile Associations Right to Ride program, Colorado Search and Rescue, The North Park Ambulance crew as well as trail grooming when the allocated funds run out. FUll Moon Open House at State Forest State Park
- Full Moon Open House Ski, Snowshoe and Potluck and Artist Showcase Event. The snow covered winter woods beckon again at the State Forest State Park's second 2011 Full Moon Open House. At dusk everyone gets their "glow on", glow in the dark jewelry provided by the State Forest State Park and the Rocky Mountain Nature Assn. Snowshoe or cross country ski the 6.5 mile groomed Gould Loop right from the Moose Visitor Center. The route is studded with glow sticks to guide skiers and snowshoers. Hot chocolate and cookies will be provided along the trail at the Chocolate Cabin and food brought by all for the potluck will be available in the Moose Visitor Center. The Artist Showcase will be Patsy Barry's water colors and Lori Forest's oils. Come experience their beautiful art. The Full Moon Open House provides a break from cabin fever and an opportunity to discover the magic of moonlight on snow and maybe a moose. - The annual Gould Poker Run will be at the Colorado Parks Shop behind the KOA starting at 9:00 am and ending at 4:00 pm. Dealer demo of new sleds will also be available at stop #2.
