Annual Ridgefield Antiques Market
- Come celebrate another year of the popular Ridgefield Antiques Market where inside the historic Lounsbury mansion this year you'll find dealers in everything paper related. Included will be graded Mickey Mantle baseball cards and Yankees autographs, Marilyn Monroe original photos, autographed John Lennon “Imagine†and Jimi Hendrix “Electric Ladyland†album covers, Beatles magazines, Country Life magazines from 1900-1913, German and American fashion magazines from 1930's-40's, sports cards, trade cards and postcards, original posters including from rock concerts from the 60's, antique maps and antique prints such as Audubons, a large collection of antique fashion patterns, books including all four volumes of "Remarkable Characters" published in 1819, and large format books on fashion and ephemera of every type Meredith Whipple, a member of the International Society of Appraisers, will be located inside the Mansion from 11am - 3pm doing $5 verbal appraisals. On the lawn under tents and canopies will be dealers offering Oriental carpets; patio and garden furniture and accessories; formal, oak and Moderne furniture; textiles; vintage clothing; antique, estate, vintage costume, Bakelite and Native American jewelry; art pottery and folk art; advertising; paintings and antique lithographs and engravings; tools; quilts; kitchenalia; glass; Americana and primitives; Orientalia; lighting; treenware; perfume bottles; fine porcelain; salt glazed pottery; sterling; sporting collectibles; antique toys; ironstone; tole ware; linens and so much more. An old fashioned carnival will be held on the north side of the Mansion with Ferris wheel and Merry-Go-Round rides, and a variety of foods. This section is free admission. Parking is available on side streets where "limited time parking" signs can be ignored. Additional parking is located behind Stevens Church directly across Main Street. From Route 684 exit 6, go east on Route 35 for about 11 miles. From the Merritt Parkway take exit 38, go north on Route 123 and turn right on Route 35.
