Live at the Gardens! - Dan McMillion and His JAZZ Quartet
- Saturday night will sizzle this summer during Bok Sanctuarys Annual Live at the Gardens! summer music series. Formerly with the Woody Herman Orchestra, trumpet leader Dan McMillion was nominated for a Grammy Award for his title "Got the Spirit" CD. Keyboardist Richard Drexler, drummer Glen Bush and Joe Porter on bass guitar round out the quartet during the last concert in the summer music series. Edward W. Bok's Birthday Concert at Bok
- The bells of the world-renowned Bok Singing Tower will ring out this day to celebrate the birth of Sanctuary founder Edward Bok. Dedicated in 1929 and now a National Historic Landmark, the beautiful gardens and majestic Tower are his gift to the American people. Born in the Netherlands in 1863, Bok became the editor of The Ladies' Home Journal, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, humanitarian, philanthropist and an advocate for world peace and the environment. Sunset & Symphony at Bok
- A highlight of the fall cultural calendar, Historic Bok Sanctuary presents the award-winning Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra in an evening of picnic, pops and light classics. Enjoy the drama as the sky transforms from a colorful golden sunset glow into a magical darkened starry night on peninsular Florida's highest point. Guests may enter at 4 p.m. to explore the beauty of the Sanctuary and its family-friendly features.
