Lakeland Square Mall Carnival
- Experience the sights, sounds and aromas of the electrifying midway with exciting rides and games for all ages and deep-fried treats, sweets and other tasty carnival eats.Event admission is free Monday, Wednesday & Thursday (closed Tuesday) and $5 Friday - Sunday for guests over 36" tall. There is no charge for parking. Unlimited ride wristbands (for riders 36" & taller) are $37 on site ($35 cash price) while supplies last or online before 5 pm Thurs., Jan. 23 for $29 each, 2/$55 or 4/$99. Annual Lakeland Pigfest
- Lakeland's annual Pigfest supports over 150 competition barbecue teams for a weekend of good eatin', good friends, and good tunes to benefit Lakeland-area charities.The good eatin' won't cost you much and is well worth the value. Stop by a Pig Bucks booth (located near the entrance and various locations throughout) and exchange your cash for Pig Bucks, the official currency of the Lakeland Pigfest. By purchasing food from competition teams, you are supporting their efforts and local charities. Through the continued support of the community, Pigfest has been able to donate over one million dollars of unrestricted funds to local charities since its humble beginnings in 1997. Local non-profits, who provide the manpower to host this event, look forward to grow Florida's Preeminent Barbecue Contest. Annual Planes, Trains & Automobiles
- The annual Planes, Trains & Automobiles, presented by Tampa International Airport, is a family-favorite event taking place at the Plant City Airport, bringing with it a full day of excitement, adventure, and community spirit. Attendees can look forward to a vibrant array of activities, from awe-inspiring aircraft displays and radio-controlled flight demonstrations to a fantastic car show and intricate model train setups. A highlight of the day will be the enormous LEGO transportation display, certain to captivate all ages. Families will have hands-on opportunities to explore a variety of educational and fun activities. Featured stations will include flight simulators and STEM exhibits from SUN 'n FUN's Aerospace Center for Excellence, Young Eagles discovery flights conducted by the Plant City Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1178, and even a chance for Scouts to earn merit badges. Younger visitors will enjoy bounce houses, a pinewood derby, and other adventures designed just for them! Food trucks and local vendors will be present, offering food and showcasing local products to make the day even more memorable.
