Dirty Wooden Shoe Cyclocross
- Cyclocross is a unique discipline of bicycle racing that requires riders to traverse a short course featuring a variety of terrain including pavement, grass, steep hills and obstacles. In some instances racers will have to dismount and run a short distance with their bicycles. Races last between 30 minutes and one hour depending on the category and age level of racers. The race has grown from a single day event with only 30 riders to an event that spans two days and includes over 100 racers. Riders from across Iowa and as far away as South Dakota will be racing this year. Races begin at 10 a.m. with the masters category racers and conclude at 2:30 p.m. with junior racers on both Saturday and Sunday. |
