Stop by for a visit with some spring babies and be sure to bring your cameras! We'll be hosting baby chicks, bunnies, ducklings, goats, and lambs. 8 Rockin’ for the Reptiles - Join us for an afternoon of rockin’ family fun! Enjoy games, live music, food, face painting, crafts, moon bounce, and of course... lots of live reptiles. 7 Tie Dye Family Art Class - Learn the histroy of tie-dye and create your own masterpiece! Bring along a piece of clothing to tie-dye in addition to the MMNH shirt we will provide.

10 Paul Barding's "In the Steps of Darwin" - Join us for this incredible presentation on the birds and wildlife of the Galapagos Islands! Paul Barding, a biologist and zoologist, began birding and documenting the Galapagos Islands, where Charles Darwin studied, in 2000. This presentation will showcase photographic documentation and a presentation of the wildlife that Barding encountered on his voyages in Darwin's footsteps.
This presentation will last approximately 45 minutes - 1 hour.

12 Oil Spill Simulation - Students will learn how we cleaned up after the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill, and observe how these clean-up techniques work in the natural environment. Each student will get hands-on and be an active participant! This class was planned by National Geographic and will be conducted by the Midwest Museum of Natural History. This class will last approximately an hour and a half.

$10 for nonmembers, $5 for members.

18 Festival of Trees - The Museum is a wonderful place to visit with family and friends in December. Check out everything we have going on!
• Tree Contest: The museum will be decorated for Christmas, featuring over 20 trees decorated by local groups and businesses. Vote for your favorite tree by making a donation. Trees will be on display through Christmas. Click here for info on decorating a tree!
• Live Animal Presentations: Tuesdays 11-11:30 am, presentations are free with Museum admission
• Wish Tree: Want to donate a pumpkin for Hercules the tortoise? Strawberries for the Bearded Dragon? How about a heater for our snakes? A tree in the Museum lobby will be decorated with paper ornaments representing gifts for our live animals. Your donation will help us make their holiday wishes come true.
